... you get up at 4:30 am to in order to do your engagement session in a classic hockey arena. This is Canada and in 6 months of winter, you are hard-pressed to find an ice pad that doesn't have a hockey team on it at all hours of the day. So it was to a classic arena in Gatineau, Quebec that Marie, Graham and I travelled to for a 7am ice time. No matter, Graham and Marie are no strangers to hockey and the schedule you must sometimes keep: Graham plays hockey 12 months of the year and Marie is one of his biggest fans. In fact, their second date was to a hockey game -- and it was Marie's idea. Graham knew then she was a keeper. ;) Thank-you, Graham and Marie for your trust in me and for giving up a few extra hours of shut-eye to make your photos speak to your lifestyle. Can't wait to photograph your wedding!

Senior Prom + Graduation is such an exciting and emotional time for grads and parents alike. Daughters are giddy with anticipation and nerves to dress shop, accessorize and attend prom with their friends and chosen dates. Parents are proud, a little apprehensive and somewhat nervous about what all this means. On Prom day, parents will look at their children, marvel and wonder at the changes and hug their son or daughter just a little tighter and longer that day; grads will be eager to push away, dash off and begin their celebrations.
In her Prom Dress Glamour Session, Karissa and Mom Lorraine slowed down those inevitable moments, shut out the world, witnessed the transformation and took the time to enjoy that milestone that is fast coming. Of her session, Karissa says: "i had an all around blast :) not only were the pictures amazing, but [working with] Elenora was such an amazing time :) great at what she does and how she does it ! Thanks a bunch Elenora :) ... it was a perfect experience!" ~ Karissa Another mother says of her session: "Elenora is a professional photographer who takes the time to ensure her clients are comfortable and relaxed before beginning. Elenora provided my daughter [ ] with suggestions and the utmost care when taking [the ] photos. I would highly recommend Jemman Photography to anyone who wants beautiful memories of a special event. Thank you Elenora." ~ Tracey To "Graduating" Moms + Dads: Your daughter has "the" dress or is chomping at the bit to get it. Take the time to enjoy it with her. Marvel and watch as she is at once elegant and poised AND carefree and playful in it -- in it she will truly embody that lightning-quick transition from teen to adult ... and you will have the gift of experiencing and remembering it in her images. To Graduating Daughters: Slow down, let your parents in. You are their little girl who is transforming into a woman before their very eyes. They are losing and gaining all at once. You found the perfect dress -- give them some time to see you in it and to experience the beauty of it. Share some of this moment with them. There are many more to come with your friends. Now booking into June: Prom Dress Sessions for Seniors -- because we're slowing down the moment. xox What an honour to have photographed these mothers and their daughters for their Limited Edition Mother - Daughter Beauty Sessions in time for Mother's Day. I had daughters bringing their moms in from out of town, sisters reuniting with mom separate from the distractions of their jobs and family, moms playing hookey with their daughters, 3-generations, and (shh!) a string of surprise sessions to be revealed later for Father's Day that are still under wraps. Just look at these ladies: The smiles begin in their eyes and end in their hearts. Each unique session was filled with laughter and tears -- good ones. What a joy; what an honour. Thank-you to every one of you for sharing a moment of your lives and your sacred relationship with me. xox
The cold winter months (all six of them!) chased us indoors to get some steamy captures for Christal + Conor. No matter though: Christal + Conor prove you can still get classically beautiful photos no matter the season, space, props, outfit or accessories. Sometimes it's the simplest things that are the most beautiful. Attitude and a willingness to try are the foundation to creating stunning captures. Thank-you, Christal + Conor for having both -- your images show it. I'm looking forward to breaking free of winter with you and taking the rest of your E-session to the streets of Ottawa! xox
The streets of Toronto were the backdrop -- and home -- for Chelsea + Anthony and their E-session. We casually strolled the heart of Riverside, letting the surrounding sights and shops on Queen Street be our inspiration, allowing Chelsea + Anthony's favourite local spots to naturally tell their story and lifestyle: They had coffee at Lil' Baci -- a quaint Italian eatery -- shared a few stolen moments at the iconic Riverside / Don bridge, exchanged a kiss under the storefront of a restaurant that shares Anthony's name, did a load of laundry (well ... sort of ... I couldn't resist the location), rode an abandoned bike, explored the local wall murals, borrowed a random vintage truck, revisited the desired location of their first home and finished the day off casually walking and playing with Theo, their beautiful husky / collie cross. In my mind, a perfect e-session: unscripted, relaxed, fun and enjoyable. Chelsea + Anthony, thank-you for being exceptionally wonderful to work with and for sharing the joys of your hometown with me. I cannot wait to photograph your Toronto wedding this summer! xox
