A series of events put Marci and I on the same path for an engagement session. Things happen for a reason, I am certain. I met Marci, Ken and their little family for a combination engagement / family session literally on the blind. They offered their trust and allowed me to put them through a few different paces to capture their spirits and connection. Thank-you, Marci + Ken, for your openness and willingness to step out of your comfort zone: I look forward to working with all of you to photograph your July 2015 wedding! xox

Ashley + Steve have enjoyed many years together as a couple, but now that their family is complete, they will take that walk together down the aisle, their 4 little ones sharing in the process and witnessing their union as a family. The smiles on these faces are real, the laughter genuine. I admire Ashley + Steve's story and love even more that it involves a happy ending -- or, rather, a happy beginning. xox
Carol + Paul came to Canada with their children to offer them opportunities and a lifestyle they could not readily establish in the United Kingdom. They worked hard, grew their family, became full-fledged Canadians and have now been able to stretch their legs and fully enjoy living on acres of greenland with their grandchildren nearby. Extended family, however, remains afar -- very far. It's not very often that Grandma Cheryl Cloete can visit from South Africa, so when she was due to arrive, Carol knew she wanted photographs to mark her family's growth and to record Cheryl's cherished time with her son, daughter-in-law and never-before-met granddaughter. Oh, the accents during this session were a musical feast to my ears! Thank-you, Isaacs and Cloete families for the honour of photographing your time together during this very special visit. xox
Tracey knew she wanted two things out of her engagement session: vibrant fall colours and some cherished alone time with her fiance. Parents to three young children and time spent on the road afford Tracey and Darren little time together as a "couple" -- so an opportunity to remember and celebrate what brought them together was key. A location fitting to Tracey's vision was suggested, an afternoon was chosen -- and rechosen for rain -- and many laughs were had. Tracy got what she wanted, Darren has a happy fiancee and I am looking forward to working with this couple and their families next July as they tie the knot exactly where we chose to have their engagement session! xox
Goodness, I love Jennifer -- she has spunk, energy and spirit that makes me smile every time I'm in contact with her. She is the drive and force in her little family of two young boys and steadfast husband. She knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding photography, prioritizing the photos she knew would provide memories and a history for her children. Jennifer + James, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and your families to capture your wedding day. I wish you many beautiful anniversary Thanksgivings and fall seasons to come! xox
